Committed to developing seasonings and foods that are responsibly sourced, CTWF's leadership supports farm to table, fair trade, locally sourced, healthy eating and lifestyles, community involvement, and being good global citizens.
The company dedicates a portion of all profits to charities including those that feed the homeless, support children, healthcare, education, scholarship, and job training initiatives.

Honoring "Nana"
We honor the spirit and legacy of Mrs. Elizbeth Shines - our beloved "Nana". Born in Greenwood, Mississippi in 1912, Nana was a strong, loving, and caring woman who loved people through a multitude of ways, one being the food she prepared.
In 1937 Nana relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, later meeting and marrying Rev. Louis M. Shines, and birthing one beautiful baby girl. From short order cook to caregiver, the love she put in her food was evident to all that were favored enough to enjoy it.
The creator of Nana's Seasoning is not only a chef, but he is also the youngest grandchild of Nana. CTWF is privileged that our Food Architect had the opportunity to learn the art and power of cooking at the feet of the master, his dear Nana. He fondly recalls Nana speaking to him about the power food, and how it had the ability to change the trajectory of a person's day. Nana saw food as medicine and would often tell him "even on the worst day a good meal will produce a smile." CTWF honors Nana's legacy, the inspiration for Nana's Seasoning.
